The high number of accidents due to drivers who frequently use the phone while driving makes infuriated the government of the United States (U.S.).Ray LaHood U.S. Secretary of Transportation recently announced new technology that could make the phone turn off automatically when someone was in the cabin of a car."I think it can be done," said LaHood, as quoted from Visordown, Tuesday (23/11/2010).He explained that the system in new technologies that will be applied in the vehicle can temporarily disable the phone when the car is in motion.
"I think you'll see how this technology to adapt to the car to turn off the phone," LaHood added.
U.S. government's desire to apply that technology in every vehicle he said, after seeing the new report that reveals 5500 people were killed and another 500,000 were injured due to accidents caused by impaired concentration while driving."Many of the events that are caused by carelessness," he closed.
